Field Note

A headwear house with a long memory, occasional collaborations beyond the cap, and a clear sense of its own line.

I

Small capsules, large lessons

Working at headwear precision

Headwear-trained brands carry their attention to millimetre tolerances into every other category. Working on a small apparel capsule with that mindset on the other side of the email is, for us, a useful discipline.

Every revision is precise; every approval is final.

II

Proportion first

Cuts that read at a glance

We spend more time than usual on collar height, shoulder slope and torso length on these capsules. The reason is simple — the brand's wearer reads silhouette in the same way they read a cap profile, at a glance, from across a room.

Our pattern team treats these as iconic-product rules, not seasonal tweaks.

III

Trims & labelling

Quiet, correct, repeatable

Trim selection on these runs is conservative on purpose. The brand label, woven and placed by spec, is the loudest signal on the garment — everything else stays quiet around it.

Repeat orders use the same trim suppliers, the same stitch density, the same labels. Predictability is, here, a form of respect.

Closing

We treat New Era capsules as a school in precision. We learn something every time.
