Privacy Policy

MUZHICHEN ("we", "us") is an apparel manufacturing partner for brands, designers and sourcing teams. This policy applies to visits to muzhichen.com, enquiries and development briefs submitted via email or /ai-rfq, use of the on-site AI Guide, and project material exchanged during cooperation. We collect and process information only to the extent necessary for project communication and production cooperation. The legal entity behind this policy is set out on the Imprint page; you can reach us at hello@muzhichen.com.

1 · What we collect

1. Project enquiry data — name, company, email, phone and project background you provide through email or conversations. 2. Development brief data — style direction, category, fabric, fit, craft, quantity, timeline and contact details submitted through the /ai-rfq development brief. 3. Uploaded files — tech packs, reference images, style sheets, sketches, fabric swatches and garment photos used for sampling, quotation and production. 4. AI Guide interactions — questions and conversation context you enter in the on-site AI Guide, used only for in-session guidance and never for automated quotation or cooperation decisions. 5. Cookies & anonymous analytics — essential cookies such as language preference, and anonymous traffic data (pages, referrers, time on page, device and browser type). 6. Communication records — project-related correspondence exchanged via email, messaging or meetings. Note: this site does not currently offer public account registration or login, so we do not create user accounts for general visitors.

2 · How we use information

We use the information collected only for the following purposes: · Understand your project needs, respond to enquiries and progress sampling, quotation, trial production, bulk and re-order tracing; · Maintain cooperation history for re-orders and historical reference; · Improve site structure, content and product presentation; · Issue invoices, contracts and reconciliation documents in line with legal or contractual obligations. The AI Guide is used only for in-site navigation, requirement framing and brief preparation. It does not participate in pricing or cooperation decisions. We never use your design files, tech packs, reference images or other project material for public display, sale, transfer or for other clients' projects without your prior written consent.

3 · Lawful basis

Our lawful basis for processing includes: · Contractual necessity — required to progress sampling, production and delivery; · Legitimate interest — maintaining working records and improving site experience; · Your consent — for ongoing communication and non-essential anonymous analytics; · Legal obligation — tax, invoicing, contract archiving and other regulatory requirements.

4 · Sharing & third-party services

We do not sell personal information or project material. We share information only to the extent necessary to deliver the website and project cooperation services, with the following categories of service providers: · Website hosting and infrastructure, including database and file storage; · Email and form services; · Anonymous traffic analytics; · Language-model services that power the AI Guide — only conversation context is passed, never uploaded files or identity data; · Authorities, when lawfully requested under applicable law. These providers may only process data on our instructions and within the minimum scope needed, and are bound by appropriate confidentiality and data security obligations.

5 · Storage, transfers & security

We apply different retention periods depending on purpose: · Enquiries and briefs that do not lead to cooperation: typically retained for 12–24 months; · Project material from active cooperation: retained for 24 months after the project closes, or as required by contract, finance or tax rules; · Cookies and anonymous analytics: retained per cookie type or analytics tool defaults. To serve clients in Japan, Korea, Europe and the Americas with reliable access, some infrastructure, email and analytics providers may be located outside mainland China. Any cross-border processing is limited to what is necessary for website access, project communication, file collaboration and basic services. Data beyond its necessary retention period is deleted or anonymised. We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures, including minimal collection, encrypted transmission, role-based access and audit logging.

6 · Your rights

You may contact hello@muzhichen.com to exercise the following rights: · Access the information we hold about you; · Correct inaccurate or outdated information; · Request deletion of information beyond its retention period or no longer needed; · Withdraw consent to further communication; · Object to or restrict specific processing activities; · Export the information you have submitted, where permitted by applicable law. To protect your data, we may need to verify the identity of the requester before acting, and will respond within a reasonable time, normally no more than 30 days.

7 · Cookies & analytics

We use two categories of cookies on the site: · Essential cookies — for language preference and basic site operation; · Non-essential analytics — for anonymous traffic analysis that helps us improve content and experience. We do not use cookies for cross-site personalised advertising. You can clear or block cookies in your browser at any time; disabling essential cookies may affect basic features such as language switching.

8 · Minors

Our services are intended for brands and institutional clients, not for minors. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors.

9 · Updates to this policy

We may update this policy as our business, legal environment or security practices evolve, and will revise the "last updated" date accordingly. Material updates will be highlighted on the site; by continuing to use the relevant features after an update, the updated policy will apply.
